A film-tested Leica R4 camera with an Elmarit-R 135mm f2.8 2 cam lens!

This is a great R4 camera that works with Leica R lenses - probably the most affordable way to get into Leica 35mm photography. The lens is a 2 cam R lens that originally shipped with a previous generation of cameras. It works with this camera but has to be metered in stop down mode.

The camera is in good cosmetic condition with a little normal wear. No dings or scratches that I can see -- just a little paint wear on the back bottom edge of the camera and some dotting of some of the black paint on the pentaprism hump -- see photos.

The camera works! The light meter appears to be one stop off - if you set it at 200 ASA when shooting 400 ASA film, for example, you should get good exposures. The R4 cameras are notorious for electronics issues, but I haven't seen them with this camera. I have not tested the camera in automatic mode or used a flash with it.

The lens is a coveted Leitz Wetzler Elmarit-R 135mm f2.8 in very nice shape with no scratches. There are two small dings on the attached lens hood -- see photos.

The glass looks clear when you look through it, but when I shine light through the glass from behind, I can see dust and haze and possibly a little fungus in the lens. I didn't see any effect on images in my test roll -- see the B&W image below.

The lens comes with a plastic lens case and lens cap. The lens also has a retaining ring and a Leitz Wetzler Series VIi UVa filter.
