Minolta SRT-MCii with Minolta MD 50mm f1.7 lens - READ
$ 35.00 $ 50.00
A film-tested, classic Minolta SRT-MCii mechanical camera with a Minolta MD f1.7 lens. According to photoethnography.com, the SRT-MCii is apparently "a rebadged SR-T 200 with a few improvements."
The camera is in good cosmetic condition with a little normal wear. The biggest cosmetic issue is that the black plastic tip on the film advance lever is missing. The lever itself works fine. See photos. The foam light seals have not been replaced, but I didn't see any light leaks in my test roll.
Light meter works but according to my measurements, it's 1 2/3 stops off, so when I set the ASA one click above 100 for 400 ASA film, I get good exposures.
The only other issue I saw when film testing the camera is an occasional narrow shadowed band on the far right edge of the frame -- see the photo of the NYC buildings below for the biggest appearance of this band on my test roll. My best guess is that this is what's called shutter capping. The band is not big enough to have ruined any images for me, but please take note.
The lens is in good cosmetic shape with a little paint worn off the front rim but no surface scratches on the glass. But when subjected to the flashlight test, you can see haze -- see photos below.
The camera body has been film tested; the lens has not. But the aperture seems correct at all settings and the amount of haze I see inside has not affected images I've shot with similar Minolta lenses.
I haven't tested the camera with a flash.
Battery not included.
